Best Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries 2023

Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries

There are lots of scholarships out there that claim to be designed for student from developing countries. That claim does not really mean much. Every individual student, no matter their country of birth, has a unique perspective of what makes a scholarship right for them.

However, if we were to ask: what are the features of a scholarship that would be right for students from developing countries, what would you list? Here is a list of the features a student seeking scholarship from a developing country should look out for

  1. Full Tuition: Many scholarships only offer subsidized tuition. This may be good for middle-income earners in a developed country, but the remainder of the tuition is still a very large sum to pay for students and families from developing country. You can tell that it is quite a large sum when you convert the amount to local currencies.
  2. Travel Expenses: Plane tickets and document processing fees are still quite hefty and may discourage students who would need to raise those funds to land a scholarship.
  3. Work-Study Arrangements: Students from developing countries would love to make full use of the opportunity of living in a developed country. They would like to be able to do some work to raise extra income they could send home
  4. Research Applicability: This is the final and the most important point international students from developing countries should seek. They should be able to apply the fruits of their research to development in their home country as soon as their studies are over.
